I’ve been hypnotised by this song for the last month now. Hospice by the Antlers was one of those albums that skipped by me. I bought a copy when it came out last year but did so alongside five other records and it managed to slip between the cracks.

I’m glad then that I decided to dig it back out at the start of 2010 and give it a second chance. Kettering is by far and away the stand out track for me. A haunting tale of visiting a terminal ill friend (possibly lover) in hospital.

There was never an official video for the song, only Bear, another great track off the album got that privledge, but luckily a die hard fan decided to make the above using only a collection of incredibly moving photos.

For anyone that’s lost someone close to them I think there is comfort to be taken in a song so wonderfully composed about such a tragic event.
